Pune: La Fondation Dassault Systèmes India, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, successfully concluded the 2024-25 edition of its flagship student innovation program, ‘Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs’, with a high-energy grand finale held in Pune.

The initiative aims to foster creativity, 3D design skills, and entrepreneurial thinking among school students across India.

This year’s edition saw participation from 260 schools representing 29 states and union territories, with the top 10 finalist teams presenting their innovative startup ideas, complete with 3D prototypes, business models, and marketing strategies.

The student-led projects addressed themes such as Health and Wellness, Smart Villages and Cities, and Best from Waste.

Winners of ‘Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs’ 2024–25:
  • 1st Place: Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Pune for Creovista, a startup developing “Zenith – Waste Collection”, an algae-processing innovation that converts lake waste into oil and biofertilizer.
  • 2nd Place: Akshara International School, Pune for Kavach, a compact, clip-on “Medipen” – a portable, all-in-one first aid kit.
  • 3rd Place: New English School Dhamari, Pune for Root Bound Farms, showcasing “Cut Master”, a machine that can harvest 35 onions per minute, enhancing agricultural productivity.

The program was further supported by Capgemini and Michelin, who enabled 110 schools to access seed funding and mentorship, helping young innovators from under-resourced communities bring their ideas to life.

Students applied design thinking and used professional 3D digital tools to develop market-ready concepts.

“This initiative reflects our mission to empower students with real-world problem-solving and digital skills. With the support of AIM and partners like Capgemini and Michelin, we are helping students turn ideas into prototypes and shaping tomorrow’s entrepreneurs,” said Sudarshan Mogasale, President, La Fondation Dassault Systèmes India, and CEO, Dassault Systèmes Solutions Lab.

The grand finale also featured industry leaders and dignitaries, including Dr Unnat Pandit (Controller General of Patents in India), Dr Chintan Vaishnav, and senior representatives from Dassault Systèmes, Capgemini, and Michelin.
